Fox Valley Orthopedics (FVO) delivers world-class orthopedic care close to home, empowering patients in the western and northwestern Chicago suburbs to return to active, pain-free lives.
Founded in 1973 by Drs. Eugene Wittenstrom and Merle Denker, Fox Valley Orthopedics has grown from a two-physician practice in St. Charles into one of the region’s most comprehensive independent orthopedic groups. Today, FVO includes over 40 practitioners and several physical therapists delivering specialized care across eight clinic locations and ten physical therapy sites throughout the Fox Valley region. The practice offers a complete spectrum of musculoskeletal services including sports medicine, total joint replacement, spine care, hand surgery, foot and ankle treatment, pain management, and physical therapy. FVO’s commitment to access, convenience and innovation is evident through its physician-owned ambulatory surgery center, advanced in-house imaging capabilities including multiple MRI facilities, and walk-in clinics providing same-day orthopedic urgent care in Geneva, Elgin, Barrington, and Yorkville. With all physicians fellowship-trained and board-certified in their subspecialties, FVO has maintained its physician-led, patient-first culture for over 50 years.
