Dr. Ryan Arnold was born and raised in Omaha. He attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Following receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Arnold returned to Omaha to attend medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He stayed at the University of Nebraska Medical Center to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery.
Following residency, Dr. Arnold completed a Sports Medicine and Cartilage Reconstruction Fellowship at Atlanta Sports Medicine under the direction of Dr. Scott D. Gillogly, a leader in the treatment of articular cartilage disorders. During his fellowship, Dr. Arnold served as an assistant team physician for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL and the Atlanta Thrashers of the NHL.
As a practicing orthopedic surgeon, his areas of interest include the treatment of sports-related injuries in athletes of all ages. He also has ongoing research interests in the management of challenging cartilage injuries, and is active in the Omaha athletic community as one of the team orthopedic specialists for several teams, including the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
